Skin and Vacuum Packaging Machines

Skin packaging draws heated film down over a product and onto a board or tray, holding it there under vacuum. The pack is transparent, tamper-proof and forgiving of awkward shapes, which suits food production as well as aerospace and automotive work.

Board-based packs run on the SP range. The SP7 Eco Skin Packaging System and SP7 Premium Skin & Vacuum Packaging System both seal an area of 765 x 511 mm and run without a vacuum pump. The SP7 Super Vacuum Sealing Machine covers the same area and adds a boom-arm HMI touchscreen and a light-guard system. Where boards are larger, the SP8 Large Skin & Vacuum Packaging System works up to 800 x 620 mm.

Sealed trays are handled by two semi-automatic thermosealers. The TSS125-SKIN Tray Vacuum Sealing System stores up to ten sealing programs and offers skin, thermosealing, vacuum and modified atmosphere options for products such as meat, cheese and fruit, with a maximum sealing area of 420 x 280 mm and tray depths to 100 mm. The TSS126-OVERSKIN Tray Vacuum Sealing System matches those limits and adds overskin sealing for protruding products, with bulges up to 40 mm.

CPack supplies skin boards for the SP range and can customise the SP7 sealing area to your requirements.
